Coatings – Industrial Paints (1816/3216 spectra)
The infrared spectral
library „NICODOM IR Coatings“ has been designed for laboratories studying composition
of industrial coatings (paints).
We have sorted the samples into over 200 different categories like
coating additives of many different types, resins/polymers, oils, solvents,
surfactants, waxes, dyes, pigments…
„NICODOM IR Coatings“ also
includes examples of typical types of industrial/commercial paints like
enamels, primers, lacqueres, powder coatings, stoving varnishes and many other
compounds.
The representative samples were selected in cooperation with consultants
from coatings industry.
Information about samples like commercial name, manufacturer, chemical
composition, CAS number, sample type etc. is also included in the full version
(when available).
The samples were selected
and spectra collected 2007-2008, the Nicodom IR Libraries include many new
substances and formulations which came to market during the last decade.
The infrared spectral
library „NICODOM IR Coatings“ is an advanced and unique collection of 1816 or 3216
FTIR digital spectra of coatings and related samples.
It can be ordered
separately (1816 spectra) but is usually ordered as a cost effective package of
3216 spectra together with the library “NICODOM IR Pigments and Dyes” (1400
spectra)

The infrared spectra were
collected using the FTIR Spectrometer Impact 410 and Nexus 670 ™ (Thermo) and
the Miracle™ single bounce ATR accessory (Pike Technologies) equipped by Si
crystal.
The IR spectral library of
coatings features resolution of 4cm-1 in the spectral range 600-4000 cm-1,
measurement time 1 minute, the instrument was purged by dried air.
Available formats:
searchable digital library compatible with your spectroscopic software or
digital book in *.pdf format.
The infrared spectral
library „NICODOM IR Coatings“ is available as digital searchable library
compatible with your spectroscopic software. Also it can be delivered with
SEARCH software or in *.pdf format.
